 Today Barry and I started our packing to prepare for the trip.  We each have a Canadian flag to fly from le bloat--oops, le boat (We will be bloated soon enough).  Barry called the office of our MP, Sukh Dhaliwal,  to request Canadian flag pins which we will give to helpful lock keepers.   We can pick them up tomorrow.  

Exhausted from these efforts, we retired to the patio to contemplate further preparation and to learn the French word for martini.
