Arrival at CDG - Paris - Ray, Bruce & Gerry

Our arrival in France was trying:  we were the last off the plane and we were supposed to be Priority (a little whine here!). After a short shuttle ride we waited in a slow moving long line into 'passport control'.  It took at least an hour but they asked no questions - just scanned our passports and gave us a stamp.  No extra security or police were visible but we knew they were somewhere.
After retrieving our luggage - tagged priority of course - we were off to find our hotel shuttle.  Now we had been to CDG airport so you would think we would know better.  Just because the signs said 'Hotel Shuttle' one would think our hotel would be included.  Bruce valiantly asked every driver if their's could take us to the Marriott in Roissy.  None would take us there.  Finally one driver admitted that he stopped a short walk from our hotel.  So we climbed on and were surprised he was correct.  We walked half a block and were actually at the Marriott!  Eventually we found out that we had waited at the wrong terminal.  We should have been at Terminal 2.
So we napped for a few hours then explored the town of Roissy.  Our hotel is built on the ruins of a castle and remnants can be seen in the adjacent park.  But more importantly we rediscovered our pizza place.  It was just as good as we remembered!
