Paris Day 1 - Gerry, Bruce & Ray

We started out the day right by buying all inclusive transportation passes (metro, rail, bus). We asked for 2 day passes but she told us that for less we could get a week pass that never expired.  Just reload it for €5 when you return for life.  So off we went to survey Paris via the train.  Roissy is near CDG Airport.

We began with Notre Dame Cathedral and ended at the Champs-Élysées.  The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays so we had a brief photo op and walked on through the mini Arch de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde.  We had lunch in a bistro so we could use their toilette - CroqueMadame (toasted ham, cheese with an egg).  A good choice!  We found many toilette signs after that of course..

Love locks and Ray

Apparently the weight of the Love Locks have contributed to collapsing a bridge (Pont des Arts) so they started to remove some 45 tons of locks.  But they are back!  Ahh... Paris and L'Amour!!
We did not add one - vendors of course sell them onsite.
